		<description>I came to the realisation that I really didn&#039;t need to be notified of email the very second it was sent (who wants to check yet more junk email) and found that turning off Push and just having the iPhone check for email every 15 minutes more than doubled my iPhone 3G&#039;s battery life.  It also meant I was less at the tyranny of email interruptions and more able to actually get a life - you know?  ;-)

The iPhone now goes for a good 2 days solid with heavy use of email, browsing, Stanza ebook reading and other apps.

However, for the odd long plane trip, I might think about getting the Mophie.  it does look like a nice option.
