How Social Media Completely Changed Overnight

One of the most common questions people have asked me about Twitter (besides of course “why do I care what you’re doing?”) is how on earth I follow so many people. The question is a valid one since at a following count of over 4,000 people and counting, it is not humanly possible to read every tweet, every thought, or every link that those people share. The basic premise of following people on Twitter is that you are at least somewhat interested in what they have to say, so the question of how I follow them all is a good one.

How Chrome OS Changes Everything

There have been so many developments in the tech world lately, it was literally difficult for me to choose one to write about. However, at the end of the day, all the new mobile phones announced over the last month, or the new Twitter features released to the tweeting community, are not going to change the future of how we use our computers, Google’s announcements will.

5 BlackBerry Issues I Would Not Have On An iPhone

I have to say, I am really torn on this issue. I change my mind every day. Basically, I love the Bold and it pretty much gives me anything and everything I need from a phone. I use Twitter and Facebook regularly with both apps running in the background and fully integrated into my Bold’s messaging system. That means I am notified about every new reply or DM immediately as well as any Facebook event I choose to know about. The GPS on the Bold is blazing fast and picks up the satellite within seconds. The email system is unprecedented in its convenience, in fact, it is leaves you so connected at all times that I actually turn it off sometimes, to disconnect, something I never thought I would want to do.

Social Media and Mobile Apps Join Forces Using AppBoy

The mobile industry seems to be in a major transformation over the past few years. If a few years ago, the “in” thing was to have a cool looking cellphone, one that was as thin as lets say, a razer blade, the new greatest thing in today’s mobile arena is of course mobile apps. Which platform has the most, coolest, and easiest to install apps? Which app interface meets my needs the best, the Apple App Store, the Blackberry App World, or the Android App Market? Apps is what it is all about in the cellular world.

OffiSync: How Twitter Increased My Productivity

OK, before I begin, let me apologize if the title is a little misleading…What I mean to say is that I found a tool through Twitter that is one of the most productive and efficient tools I have come across in years. A friend of mine on Twitter is the developer, so that is what I mean when I say Twitter increased my productivity. Now, let me ask you this, how you ever come across a concept that made you ask yourself “How did I not think of this?” or better yet “How did no one think of this?” This is one of those moments.

Shape Services Continues to Amaze

I am going to do something a little differently in the post and not discuss a new product or a new technology. I want to talk to you about a company that I have been in contact with over the past few months. The company is Shape Services and they make some very innovative applications such as IM+, Mobiola Web Camera for Blackberry, and their newest addition, RDM+. Now, I have had the chance to try out all of these apps on different platforms, and they all pretty much rock, but like I said, I want to talk about the company as a whole and not just their products.

IM+: A Top Notch IM App on All Platforms

While Social media in its newest formats takes up a lot of my time, I find that I do a lot less of other things I used to do, and this sadly includes blogging. I hope to fix that. However, one thing that did not diminish is my time on Instant messenger. IM still serves a purpose even Twitter cannot fill. Ever since I learned how to turn on a computer, I have been an IM junkie. So naturally, when I get a new phone/iPod, good IM software is one of the first things I search for.

Fring Enters the Twitter Arena

Fring is one of my all time favorite apps on the iPod Touch, and it is only getting better with time. To just give you a short overview of what Fring is, if you do not already know, it is a social aggregator for multiple platforms. Fring supports iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian, Java, and Linux. Here are some of the things that make Fring an awesome program…
